For some reason Lucy does not recognize the iPhone as a camera. No way to get these moments with the Casio. It is… invigorating… to be in the same room with such distilled, existential joy.

Hattie (10 weeks)
Almost (not quite) house broken. Sleeping through the night. Chewing the shit out of everything. And Lucy (5 year old Golden) is ready to play.
Hattie (7 weeks)
Stills are a little challenging since Hattie is a blur of motion, so here’s a minute of video. Lucy (5+ years) is still unsure about this interloper.
Murals by Rebecca
The brief (4 min) video above is with a co-worker who paints wall murals. She thought a video might help show-and-tell her art. I mention this here because it was just so easy to do with iMovie and the Comic Book theme added a little pizzazz. I need to check to see if there are more themes out there. I’m surprised that Apple only provide half a dozen.

Notational Velocity and Simplenote
This little screencast runs under 5 min and features two of my favorite tools for taking notes. Notational Velocity is an application that stores and retrieves notes. Really fast. Simplenote replaces the Notes app on your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad and lets you access your notes from anywhere.

UPS has their iPad game face ON
Just had a visit from Jake Green. Jake is the manager of the local UPS office and, although today is his day off, he drove out to our house to verify someone at this address had ordered an iPad.
UPS had been calling my office number and got no answer. So Jake was just checking. Seems UPS has an elaborate security protocol for iPad deliveries. A few mistakenly got on trucks for delivery and frantic calls went out to drivers instructing them NOT to deliver.
The Jefferson City UPS office is delivering 20 iPads today. Mine is on a truck with 14 others. UPS is taking this as seriously as Apple. Very impressive.
