I attempted a time-lapse video showing a couple of hours of this project but it was just too boring to post. Not boring for me, mind you, but the state of flow this induces for me doesn’t come across in a video.

Fast food run in the Jeep
I’d love to know what the designers of the Jeep had in mind with the fold-down windscreen. Perhaps easier to carry more equipment or people?
Barb got her first ride in the Jeep today.
I’m still getting used to just how small the Jeep is.
And here’s the boy with his new toy, decked out in his anti-tick treated wood clearing outfit.
Jeep: Test Drive #2
In this 3 1/2 min video I take the Jeep for another drive, getting used to a new shifting pattern and the overall ride. My Land Rover cruises comfortably at 40-45 mph, I don’t think I’ll be pushing the Jeep much beyond 35 mph. Have to make sure the brakes are working properly. Currently, I really have to stand on the brake to stop. Once I’m sure I can operate safely, I’ll take the Jeep onto some city streets.

Hunkered Down
UPDATE: This is definitely a work in progress. My uke guru is suggested some changes. Thinking it might be fun to add one new verse a week for as long as COVID-19 hangs around. We’re talking epic. (Put this on YouTube for anyone having trouble streaming here.)
UPDATE: I’m going to record this again and change “Chinese Virus” to “Donald Trump’s Virus”
Land Rover 4WD: LOW RANGE!
I think I understood the concept behind the high range/low range gear lever on my Land Rover. But I had never had a real opportunity to use it this weekend’s snow (about a foot).
Went down the hill in 4WD (high). Came back up in 4WD (low) and it finally clicked for me. I need to remember to engage these gear combinations from time to time to make sure all the doodads are working.

Playing with GoPro – Part 2
Got a new mount for the GoPro camera. I would say a more flattering angle but I’m not sure they make such a thing. I ramble for 3 minutes about the early days of MTV. Audio level is too low so it’s gonna be video-only inside the cab of the Land Rover.
