Like every puppy we’ve had, Riley goes 100 mph for a couple of hours and then flops down and snoozes for a couple of hours.

Riley has been with us less than a week and Hattie has accepted her completely.

Hattie is small for a Golden Retriever. But she very flexible and can reach anything left on a counter. And does.
Ride!
Not much Hattie loves more than going for a ride/walk. She gets in on the passenger side and immediately goes and sits in the driver’s seat. When I open the door she moves over to her side. Every time.

When I leave it parked in the driveway, she will sit by the truck to make it clear she wants to go for a ride. This is our ritual end-of-day drive.
Back in The Truck!
For the last couple of weeks I’ve been recovering from a little outpatient surgery and my doctor didn’t think it was a good idea for me to be driving a 40 year old truck with power nothing. So I’ve been renting a boring little Chevy which isn’t that bad if all you’re trying to do is get from point A to B. Today I got the green light to start driving the truck and and I took a short drive just to see if anything hurt. Nothing did so in the immortal words of George Costanza, “I’m back, baby!”
