  1. My mother in-law was a inmate at the prison in the early 70’s. She just turned 18 (my husband was month’s old), both her and her husband who was in his late 20’s was convicted of many Burglary charges. Her husband was sent to the horrible men’s prison, where most of the imates (a few gaurd’s) were scared of him so he didn’t suffer to bad.

My mother in-law said the prison had a relax feel to it. There was dormitories, classes to take (She took cosmetology), she worked in the office and cafeteria (She said the food was good), they had dances, an escape would be just walking away (a couple of tries happen while she was there), and they help her to divorce her husband.

The judge who ruled over the court, and even the prosecution knew it was a case where if she did not do as she was told she was severely beaten (They had pictures, and bruises when arrested). She was told a few times she was put in the prison to keep her away from her husband at the time. Let’s say everything she experienced in the prison, and those who worked there changed her life for the better (A good woman, mother, grandmother, and mother in-law). As for my husband’s father, he was a total maniac, he beat any woman he was with, he severely beat his step children, and a child molester. I am glad to say due to a car accident, for many years now he’s lived with severe pain daily. Karma is not afraid of no one “She will give you the punishment you deserve”.
