Like Dilbert, I routinely delete any email that has a subject of: Urgent, Hey!, Yo! Stuff. If you don’t care enough to provide a useful subject line, I don’t care enough to open your email.

Dylan Sisson
Dylan Sisson resides in Seattle, where he draws and paints wall-eyed curiosities with big teeth. I fell in love with one of his images and reached out to see if he had plans to make it available as a poster.
He was kind enough to add the image and I purchased immediately. Don’t know if it’s still available but I like having it on my wall.
Where the heart is
Least Wanted
I’m becoming a big fan of flicker, the online photo site. Check out Least Wanted for some fascinating mug shots, including the one above. “Involved in a cutting scrape with Wm. Merrie – allegedly fighting over women.” Caution: There are more than 400 of these and it’s hard to do just one. I vow to upload all of my photos if it takes the rest of my days.
Niketown sneakers
I love the idea of designing (okay, picking the colors for) my own sneakers. Niketown makes it very easy. If I guessed right on the size I’ll be stylin’. If I guessed wrong, I have a pair of hundred dollar chew toys.

Winter is not over
Winter is not over in Wisconsin. Photo above taken by Bob Hague while riding his snow-tire equipped bike Saturday morning. We suspect he stopped to take this shot but he wasn’t clear on that point.
Concrete TV
“Concrete Ron describes himself as “perhaps the greatest video editor of all time”, and anyone who’s ever caught Concrete TV on Manhattan public access television over the last decade or so probably wouldn’t argue: a typical episode incorporates vintage porn movies, 80s aerobics videos, car crash footage, Hong Kong shoot-em-ups, old commercials, beefcake reels, pro wrestling smackdowns, cheesy B-movie moments, sex education films, random explosions, wet t-shirt contests, and plenty of “raw emotion, euphoria, physical collision, glee, fantasy, despair, and discomfort” in one noisy, violent, sexy, and brilliantly edited pop culture/infoporn mashup.”
Cartoons on the back of business cards
Hugh Macleod “draws cartoons on the back of business cards” and writes about about advertising and marketing. The cartoon above spoke to me until I broke it down:
A 28-year-old wasn’t born when 3 Days of the Condor was released; I’d eventually comment on her stupidity; I could not “do the time”; and I’d never give up my Casio. But the naked part sounded okay.
Scariest Halloween Costumes
“The Littlest Prisoner at Abu Ghraib. Your child will be the hit of the neighborhood costume parade in this recreation of the Abu Ghraib prisoner-abuse scandal’s most indelible image. As an added bonus this easy-to-make costume will remind everyone on your child’s trick-or-treat route of our national shame! Simply roll a cone from a sheet of 24″x38″ black cardstock, making sure to cut out a hole for the face. Drape with two yards of black felt, and add leftover wires from your last lamp-rewiring project. Voila! So easy, so quick, and so terrifying!” [TheStranger.com via Boing Boing]
