I really thought we’d never see gasoline under $2.00 a gallon again. And I’m pretty sure it’s not a good sign. It was $2.57 back in September, 2005. Not sure what it was when I grabbed this bit of video in May, 2007.
In some twisted way, I’ll feel reassured when it goes up again.

Why is $2.00/gal gas scary?
Are you old enough to remember the cowboy movies where the good guys are riding thru injun country and the scout stops, squints his eyes and says, “It’s too quiet. I don’t like it.” And immediately gets an arrow in his chest.
For those of us who are slow and like cheap gas, please explain why <$2.00/gal is a bad sign. k
Have no doubt it will go up again. Demand destruction is the name of the curent game, but supply issues will soon again raise their ugly head. This fiasco is long from over…
Gas was $1.46 when GW Bush took (aka stole) office. I paid $1.85 last week in Camdenton, MO.
